If you are a male and 18 years old, you must register with the Selective Service. You can do this at sss.gov or see your counselor for assistance. If you do not do this within 30 days of your 18th birthday, you are in violation of the law.
If you are interested in going on the Spanish trip abroad to Costa Rica, you may sign up until October 18th. Miss Cameron and Miss Rowland have sent e-mails to all parents of students who said they were interested. If you know that you can or cannot go, please let one of them know as soon as possible.
Seniors filling out the common app need to provide Ms. Putnam with a list of your activities.
Seniors who have a GPA of 3.75 or higher and an ACT score of 24 hour may be awarded a scholarship through the Hagan Foundation for up to $48,000. Go to hsfmo.org or see Ms. Putnam for details.
Boys basketball conditioning continues every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 2:45-4:15 in the Middle School Gym.
Hi-Y and Spanish Club members continue to sell Yuda Bands to help fund a Guatemalan boy's education. The bracelets will be on sale at lunchtime in the old gym, or you can purchase bracelets from club members.
The National Honor Society is sponsoring a Pennies for Patients Campaign to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Donations from Pennies for Patients help families of patients pay for medicines, doctors or other expenses, and also help fund research focused on finding a cure.
The PSAT will be given on Wednesday, October 16th for any junior who signed-up. Please remember to submit the $17 fee to Mrs. Garman by Wednesday. Checks can be made out to Greenfield Schools. See Mrs. Garman with any questions.
The library will be closed on Wednesday, October 16 periods 1-6 for the PSAT.
Picture retake day is Friday, October 25th. If you want your picture retaken, you need to return your original package when you get your picture retaken. You can pick up a picture packet in the High School office.
