McClain Band Donation
Southern Hills Bank recently donated money for a new baritone for the marching band.  
Red Ribbon Week
During the week of October 27 through October 31, the high school and middle school will be participating in Red Ribbon Week. 
Special Olympics
On Saturday, September 20, a group of McClain students participated in the Special Olympics at Hills and Dales.  
Little Miami Band Festival
McClain Marching Band and Tigerettes recently attended a band festival at Little Miami. 
Fall OGT Week
OGT week is quickly approaching and some changes have occurred within the week’s schedule.

The 2014 yearbooks are available for pickup or purchase ($40) in Mrs. Gossett's room (232 old vocational)

Thursday, October 23, 2014

1.        Tomorrow will be school pink-out day. 

2.        There will be an art club meeting during lunch today.  Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase.

3.        The boys swim team will condition in the pool today after school.

4.        Grade cards will be available in homeroom classes today between 1st and 2nd periods.   

5.        Powder Puff game will be played on Sunday.  Admission is $2.00.  Players, coaches and cheerleaders are to be at the field by 2:30 pm. 

 

6.        There will be a brief Spanish Club meeting today after school in room 304.

7.        OGT testing will take place the week of October 27.  Testing will take place 2nd period in the old gym.  Juniors and seniors who have passed the test of the day will not have to be here until fifth period.  The OGT testing schedule is as follows:  Monday – Reading,

        Tuesday – Math, Wednesday – Writing, Thursday – Science and Friday – Social Studies.

8.        HI-Y Make a Difference Day permission slips are due to Ms. Poynter no later than the day today. Please see Ms. Poynter if you need a form or have any questions.

9.        Seniors interested in information about the Homeland Credit Union Scholarship should see Mr. Raike.

10.     There will be a wrestling meeting after school today.

11.     Seniors will have Powder Puff practice all week except for today.

12.     FCS will be meeting during lunch tomorrow in Mrs. Gossett’s room. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches will be available for purchase. Everyone is welcome.

13.     Any girl interested in trying out for club volleyball may pick up information in the office. Volleyball jerseys need to be turned in to coach Gall by the end of the week.

14.     Seniors order your cap and gown and announcements on Tuesday, November 4th before school in the old gym. A $75.00 deposit, or payment in full, is needed to order your announcements.  No money is required at this time to order your cap and gown.

15.     Spanish Club dues must be paid by the end of the day tomorrow.  Dues are $5.00 and may be paid to Katlyn Edenfield, Mrs. Hutchinson or Miss Poynter.

16.     Congratulations to the McClain Show Choir for being accepted to perform at Disneyworld this spring!

17.     All seniors that are participating in senior night activities tomorrow night should have their paperwork turned in to Mr. Stevens immediately.  If you need a form, see Mr. Stevens before lunch today.

18.     Soccer players that have not yet turned in their uniforms should do so tomorrow after school in the gym lobby.  Any uniforms not turned will result in grade cards being held.
