New Ohio State Tests

New Ohio State Tests are being administered to students who are currently in grades 9 and 11. These tests are replacing the old Ohio Graduation Tests. They will be taken online in two parts through the months of February to May. The first part is a Performance-Based Assessment (PBA) and is taken in February and March 2015. The second part is an End-Of-Year assessment (EOY) and is taken in April and May.

  1. Students, who received straight A’s for the second nine weeks, need to see Mrs. Pitzer before school, during lunch or after school.

  2. There will be an envirothon meeting during lunch on Tuesday in Miss Kesler’s room.  Bring your food and join us as we do some identification as well as information about the March practice competition.

 

  1. “100 Years of Sports” t-shirts will be on sale in the Resource Room today and tomorrow before and after school for $10.00. 

  2. There will be a baseball meeting today after school in the new gym.  Anyone interested in playing should attend.

  3. Southern State is offering “Connect to College” days at their campuses during February, March and April for students interested in obtaining information.  Please see Ms. Putnam for further details

  4. McClain High School will be hosting a blood drive through the American Red Cross on Thursday, February 12 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm in the old gym.  You may sign-up through tomorrow in the new gym lobby during lunch.

  5. AAA will be holding driver education classes at McClain beginning Monday in room 106 (Health Room).  You must be 15 and five months of age to begin the classes.  Please call the AAA office in Hillsboro at 937-393-3489 for more information or to enroll.

  6.  Senior pictures are due to Annual Staff by the end of the day tomorrow.  E-mail image to joellen.gossett@greenfield.k12.oh.us or bring a cd to room 232.

  7. Tickets for the Snow Ball dance are on sale through tomorrow.  The dance will be held on Saturday from 8:00 pm – 11:00 pm.  Ticket cost is $7.00/single and $12.00/couple.  You may purchase your ticket(s) in the Resource Room before school, during lunch or after school.  Please notify Mr. Haines if you will be bringing an out-of-town guest.  Any type of respectable clothing will be permitted.  Pizza and water will be available to purchase.

 

  1. OGT Social Studies tutoring will be held in Mr. Roble’s room every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday after school from 2:30 pm -3:00 pm. Please see Mr. Roble if you are interested.

  2. There will be an Art Club meeting next Thursday during lunch.  Pizza and drinks will be available for purchase.

  3. Any clothes left on the lost and found table by the end of the day tomorrow, will be donated to a local church group.
