  1. There will be a Senior Executive Committee meeting May 2nd in the Resource Room immediately following school.  

  2. Students, please do not allow visitors in at the doors. The office will buzz them in. The door at lunch will unlock at 12:50 p.m. If you want in the school before then please go to the cafeteria till 12:50 p.m.

  3. Are you looking for some volunteer opportunities? The Highland County Senior Citizen Center in Hillsboro is the place to be this saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Lunch will be provided.The senior citizens will be playing "Ham Bingo" and your help will be greatly appreciated. See Mr. Raike to sign up.

  4. Attention, Friends!  We are about to "be on a break," and Annual Staff wants your spring break photos.  Email your exciting or mundane pictures to

  5. Seniors:  We need a senior picture to put in our Senior Showcase for May.  All senior pictures need to be turned into Mrs. Smith by Fri., April 26.

  6. The Rose Avenue Community Center is holding their Annual Cinderella's Closet Prom Outreach.  They offer dresses, shoes, jewelry, suits, shirts, ties on a loaner basis for teens to be able to attend prom.  They are open April 20, and April 27 from noon until 2 pm. They are located at 412 Rose Avenue in Washington Court House.  Please call the outreach center at 740-636-7673 for more information.

  7. Attention all Seniors and Juniors, Tickets for the All Night Party are now available.  The cost per ticket is $10 each or $18 per couple. The Early Bird Special will run from Wednesday, April 10th-April 23rd. During the Early Bird Special, when you buy your tickets, your name will go into a drawing for the following prizes: Seniors - Free Limo Ride, a FREE $40 Seely Photo package at Prom, and a Free Boutonniere and Corsage from Robbins Village Florist,  Juniors - $25 gift card, and a Free Boutonniere and Corsage from Ivy and Twigs. The drawing will be held 8th period April 23rd. Tickets for the All Night Party will remain on sale until May 3rd. Tickets will NOT be sold at the door.

  8. The Adena Hospital in Chillicothe is having a nurse camp to familiarize freshman and sophomores with the nursing profession. See your counselor if you are interested in exploring this three day camp entitled "three days in the life of a nurse". The  Adena Nursing Camp Application has to be returned by Friday, April 26th.

  9. The Adena Health Foundation is pleased to offer scholarships to students who are pursuing an education in healthcare. See Mr. Raike for details.

  10. Sign up sheets for prom are in the office. Sign up with Mrs. Pitzer. All fees must be paid before receiving your prom invitation.

  11. Seniors it is time to create this years senior t-shirt.  Please turn in you designs to Mr. Haines in the resource room by May 1.  If there are no designs there will be no senior t-shirt this year.

  12. Lunch: Pizza, green beans, potato tots, fruit and milk

State Power-Lifting Meet

The McClain power-lifting team traveled to Kenton, Ohio for the state power-lifting meet. The total weight for the team was 8,585 lbs between 11 students with 7 of the total members placing in state. More +
Quick Recall Team

McClain Quick Recall Places 6th in State

The McClain Quick Recall team ended its meritorious season with a bang at the Ohio Small School State Championship, placing sixth overall in Ohio.
