McClain Parent Advisory Council (MPAC)

McClain High School Vision: By embracing change for the future, honoring rich tradition, and creating a memorable experience, McClain High School will produce graduates who are well equipped to meet the challenges of education, work, and life.

The McClain Parent Advisory Council (MPAC) to the Principal is comprised of parent representatives of McClain High School. They meet with the principal and other high school staff and students on a monthly basis during the school year. Members work together to:

  • identify common needs and goals among the parents of students enrolled in McClain High School and facilitate strategies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our school’s parent organization.

  • provide the principal with feedback and insight from the parent’s perspective on school processes, policies and initiatives to ensure that the needs of parents and their families are included as decisions are made in the district/school.

  • bring to the principal’s attention existing and emerging issues expressed by parents.

  • serve as an advisory, not a decision-making body, that makes recommendations, encourages brainstorming and provides opportunities for parent involvement.

Basis for Establishment

The MPAC is comprised of parent and building representatives. They meet with the principal on a monthly basis during the school year to discuss a variety of topics, share information and broaden understanding of school-related issues.
