McClain High School's math teachers were recently trained on Virtual Reality headsets for the math classroom. The teachers are excited to roll out the VR's in their classrooms for all of our students.

The Greenfield Rotary Club hosted seniors guests, Cadet Gavin Fleming and Cadet Justin Legge, this morning. Senior guests share about their family, hobbies, high school activities, and future plans. 😊 #legacyofleadership #mcclaintigers

The Snake Dance will begin and end Wednesday, September 20, at the field on S. Washington Street where the band and football teams have been practicing this year. The parade route is Washington, to Jefferson, to 6th, to South, and back to the field. September 1, 2023 4:15 p.m. all-call: Please see below for a few updates. 1. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during our implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System. Things have been going very smoothly. Please remember to bring your state I.D. or driver’s license with you to the school office the first time that you are signing your child out or visiting the building. Also, remember that if you have children in multiple buildings, you will need to repeat the process in each building. Again, thank you for your support. 2. The percentage of our students whose documentation is completed in FinalForms is now 93%! Please make sure that if you have not completed the forms, you do so as soon as possible. Make sure to keep your contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) current so that you don’t miss important information that is shared throughout the year. 3. Be sure to complete the free and reduced lunch form as soon as possible. Any form that was approved last school year is only good for this school year through September 30. This year, all students who qualify for a reduced-price lunch receive a free lunch! You can find the form on our website by clicking the dining tab. You will then see it on the left-hand side. Today was one of our favorite days! We welcomed all of our new staff members in the district for orientation. Together we learned, laughed, built new relationships, and toured the main campus. We are so glad to add these new members to our team! 💜💛 #legacyofleadership #mcclaintigers

Information from the 8-1-23 1:05 p.m. all-call: Good afternoon! This week on our main campus you will notice police presence while law enforcement officers are conducting drills. We want everyone to be aware that they are only conducting drills, and that nothing is wrong. We appreciate the hard work and support of our local law enforcement as they practice protocols to keep our students and staff members safe. The First Presbyterian Church will be hosting the annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 12, from 8:00 until 11:00 a.m. This drive-thru event provides an opportunity for students in preschool through twelfth grade to receive a free backpack full of supplies. We appreciate the support of the Presbyterian Church and all of the community organizations who have contributed supplies for the event. We are excited to welcome our students back soon! Open house for all buildings will be held on Tuesday, August 15. All elementary buildings will hold their open house sessions from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. The Greenfield Middle School open house will be held from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. McClain High School will hold its open house for all grades and freshman orientation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. The first day for students in grades 1-12 will be August 17. Start dates and times for preschool and kindergarten students are staggered and will be communicated to parents and guardians. Be on the lookout for the McClain Mailer, which will be delivered to all homes in our district within the next couple of weeks. Again, we are excited to welcome back our students and kick off the 2023-2024 school year! #legacyofleadership #mcclaintigers
