Our district is so excited about this event. We have such wonderful community support for our students. See below for the details! ⬇️🥰
💜💛 Tiger Cub Closet – Clothing Shopping Event! 💛💜
We’re excited to invite families to shop our Tiger Cub Closet this Friday, August 8 from 5–7 PM in the Cafetorium! You will need to enter through the front doors of the elementary building and turn left towards the Cafetorium.
🧺 This event is for students in Preschool through 5th grade who attend:
• Greenfield Elementary
• Buckskin Elementary
• Rainsboro Elementary
👕 Sizes 3T through Youth 18 will be available
🧦 We’ll have a variety of gently used and new clothing and shoes, along with new socks and underwear for students
🟣 All clothing items will be free
🟣 You’ll be asked to provide the child’s name and grade in order to shop for them. Child does NOT need to be present but is welcome to come shop!
🟣 The number of items per student will be determined after we see the total amount collected
🟣 This will be first come, first served
🟣 We’ll limit how many families come in to shop at once to keep things organized, calm, and private.
🙌 Huge thank you to everyone in our community who donated clothing and helped make this event possible—you’re making a real difference for our students!
📣 Please help us spread the word to anyone in the Greenfield school district who may have an elementary student in need of clothing. We don’t want anyone to miss this!
Let’s get our kids ready to start the school year confident, comfortable, and cared for! 🐾

We are excited to welcome Brooke Beatty to our team! She will be working as a first grade teacher at Greenfield Elementary School.😀
➡️ Brooke graduated from McClain High school in 2021 and from Ohio University in May.
➡️ A fun fact about Brooke is that her family's farm held a bicentennial celebration last year.🚜
➡️ Brooke is looking forward to returning to her Alma Mater as a teacher. She is excited to meet her students and watch them grow academically. Brooke loves participating in McClain traditions and school spirit days.☺️

School attendance matters! Strategies that we implement to improve student attendance are utilized not just because we know good attendance positively impacts student achievement, but also because addressing excessive absences and habitual truancy IS THE LAW!
Avoid the spring slump! Below are some helpful tips for parents FROM parents:
1. Talk about the importance of school in your home.
2. Be organized. Get everything ready the night before.
3. Give yourself 15 minutes of quiet time before the kids wake up.
4. Implement structure - Run it like a military operation in the morning!
5. Don’t give kids a choice to stay home.
6. Come back to school after medical appointments.
7. Know how many days your child has missed.
Students who are close to being identified as chronically absent, defined by the Department of Education and Workforce as missing 10% or more of the school year, can avoid that designation by finishing out the school year with great attendance. Working hard to maintain good attendance at the end of the school year benefits students and our district. Avoid the spring slump!
