These students were treated to a McDonald’s lunch today from Mrs.Unger for earning the the most AR points in the fifth grade for the first nine weeks!

Reminder: There will be no school for students on Friday, October 28, 2022. We hope to see all parents and guardians for a conference on either Wednesday, November 2 or Thursday, November 3. 😊

Our really great students love the Really Great Reading kits to build words! 📚

Mrs. Ary's kindergarten students listened to "Room on the Broom" today in Mr.Roller's art class and added characters and colors to their brooms.

These fifth graders earned 25 points or more in our AR program to be in Mrs. Allison’s Tiger Club!

Tomorrow is Unity Day. Our school counselor has been talking to students about bullying prevention, and being kind to others. We will be celebrating by wearing orange to school tomorrow!

With the cooler weather sneaking in, we want to send out a reminder that our students will have outdoor recess on days that are 32° and higher. Please make certain your child is dressed accordingly for the weather. Thank you and have a wonderful fall!

The 2:30 performance of Opening Night is in full swing, but you still have a chance to catch the second performance at 7:30 in the McClain High School auditorium. Admission is $5.00. Come out and show support for our talented students! 💜💛

Information from the 10-12-22 all-call:
Good evening. This is Quincey Gray, Superintendent of Greenfield Schools. I wanted to take time to share some important information that we have recently provided to parents and guardians. A safety update was sent via FinalForms with copies being sent home with students as well. Please be sure to review the information at your convenience. Also, a document highlighting important upcoming dates was sent via FinalForms and shared on social media. Those dates are October 20, when there will be a two hour early release; October 21, COTA Day, when there will be no school for students; and October 28, when there will be a teacher professional development day with no school for students. October 20 also marks the end of the first quarter, and information about scheduling conferences will be sent home soon. We would love to be able to communicate with all of you during a conference whether it be face-to-face, by phone, or by email. Finally, McClain High School’s Opening Night, presented by its choral department, will be held October 15 in the McClain High School auditorium. There will be two shows - 2:30 and 7:30. The admission cost is $5.00. We would love to have people attend to support our students. If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact the school office where your child attends. Have a good evening!

Consider supporting our McClain Cadet Corps and the American Red Cross. 😊

McClain’s Opening Night, hosted by its Choral Department, will be held Saturday, Oct. 15th. There will be 2 shows held in the high school auditorium: the first will begin at 2:30 p.m. followed by the second one at 7:30 p.m.
There will many different acts performed including skits, piano solos, instrumental duets, songs, and dances. In addition, the Show, Symphonic, and Concert Choirs will be performing 2 selections each.

Opening Night has been a tradition for many years and represents the beginning of the choral year. The Choral Department is inviting the community and hopes to see everyone at Opening Night. Concessions will be for sale near the marble stairs throughout the show. 🎤💃🏼🕺 🎶 🎹 🎭

Our athletic department has released this information now so that people who want to attend can make the necessary arrangements. We are excited that our JV and Varsity girls basketball teams will have this opportunity! 💜💛🏀

Our district is so proud to have this club at McClain High School. Please read the message below from Mrs. Lori Tuttle, DFCA adviser. If you are associated with a local business that would like to support the club, please contact her. Support for our students is much appreciated! 😊
Good afternoon. I am a teacher at McClain High School and I would like to reach out to businesses in the Greenfield (or surrounding) community.
I am the adviser for Drug Free Clubs of America which gives students the ability to say "No, I can't. I get tested" if they find themselves in high-pressure situations. These students have many incentives like free pizza, donuts, catered lunch, t-shirts, big giveaways, and community rewards.
Today, I'm looking for businesses that would like to participate in the community rewards program or team up with other businesses to provide new t-shirts. If you are interested in supporting this wonderful program, please contact me at lori.tuttle@greenfieldmcclain.org.

Fifth grade TAG students worked on using the design process, original thinking, and teamwork to create a boat that could make it across the lake.

Mrs. Barham's students earned a reward for outstanding behavior and they voted to have Nutella with pretzels as a special snack! 🥨🙂

5th graders have been experimenting with not only printing techniques but mosaics. They have created Monarch inspired butterflies with Mr. Roller in art.
