We would like to invite you to be part of something special. 🎶💜💛🎶 Our district is excited to kick off an auditorium revitalization project. Constructed in 1915, the McClain High School auditorium has been a treasure in our community for over one hundred years, hosting countless performances and events leading to memories that last a lifetime. While its history is rich, time has taken its toll after the renovations made almost 40 years ago. We now have a unique opportunity to restore and enhance this iconic space for future generations. Our revitalization project will focus on upgrading the sound and lighting systems and replacing the seating, carpet, and curtains. These updates will honor the building’s historic charm while ensuring that it continues to meet the needs and support the experiences of current and future performers. We are thrilled for you to join us in bringing this vision of revitalization to life! Your support can make a meaningful impact. If you have questions regarding the information in this post, please contact us. 😊

Students in Mr. Weaks' 6th grade technology classes combined their coding knowledge with some holiday fun. The students designed "Turkey Trot" courses for their Ozobots to "run" using Legos. Then, students experimented to determine a program that would have their bot gobbling up the course. Students used the Blocky programming language to flash instructions to the bot and run their programs on their physical race courses.

Mrs. Smith's algebra class made a human box plot based on data collected from their classroom and Mrs. Gall's 8th period class.

Please take a moment to read the November edition of the GMS Paws*Itive Press!

We're extremely thankful to Adena Health Foundation for their continued support and generous donation of 20 winter coats to Greenfield Middle School students!

Students in the GMS HI-Y Club held their monthly meeting and learned about Robert's Rules of Order. Students then worked on a project where they learned about attributes of a GREAT leader. They then wrote down what they think makes one and discussed how each one of them have qualities that make them a GREAT leader.

Students in Mrs. Dyer's 7th grade math classes worked in partners to practice the skills learned in a new section they started - percentages as proportional relationships. A little friendly competition for Tiger Paws is a great way to end the week.

For the safety of our students, families, and staff members, our district will be on a two hour delay Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Please remember that no breakfast is served on days when there is a delay.

In Mrs. Black's class, students are stepping up their ELA game by diving into two powerful pieces of literature—a short story and a poem—to explore and analyze how the theme is reflected through the characters' moods and attitudes. They're not just reading; they're building rigor through writing, using the texts to support their ideas and explore deeper, more complex concepts. It’s a journey of literary exploration where every word and mood shift leads them to a better understanding of how stories and poems shape the way we see the world!

Students in Miss Jaycox's 6th grade math class found the distance between two points through a partner matching activity.

Mrs. Shrout's sixth grade math Quest students, who finished their work early, organized their binders today for other classes. We made colorful homemade dividers and organized our work. When we're organized, we don't lose our work, and our grades improve!

Some of Ms. Bolender and Mrs. Eikenberry's students completed a bonus event to show their understanding of Robert Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken." These are just a few of the awesome creations and responses.
