Perseverance is our Learning Disposition focus for the month. These 4th graders are learning how Stacey persevered through the Spelling Bee and through her life just like we are doing everyday.

4th and 5th graders participated in the St. Jude Math-a-Thon. Thank you to Pet Land Inc. for their generous donation.

Today was an AWESOME day of learning in the Greenfield Exempted Village School District! Staff members spent time collaborating and learning from one another during learning walks. The best professional development is often in “your own backyard”, and we are proud of our staff members as they continue to increase their knowledge about Visible Learning.
You can check out many more pictures from our district on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter by searching #VisibleLearning.

Rainsboro Trunk or Treat was such a success this year. Thanks to the weather and our AMAZING volunteers! See more pictures on our Facebook pages.

Some of our Rainsboro area middle school/high school bus routes, as well as some of the Rainsboro elementary routes, will be delayed today (10/27/22) due to routes being blended because of driver unavailability. Please allow extra time for your child to arrive home on the bus. We appreciate your patience. 😊

It’s a little spooky in our cafeteria today.

Reminder: There will be no school for students on Friday, October 28, 2022. We hope to see all parents and guardians for a conference on either Wednesday, November 2 or Thursday, November 3. 😊

Second grade students learned how to edit their writing using the COPS acronym (Capitals, Organization, Punctuation, and Spelling). They were promoted to COPS Deputy today!

Halloween Candy Grams
5th grade students will be selling Candy Grams to all students on Wednesday, Oct. 19th and Thursday, Oct. 20th for 50 cents each. If you would like to support the 5th graders, please send money to school with your child. Candy Grams are a great way to send an encouraging message to a friend! (All money collected will be used to support the 5th grade leadership project.)

The 2:30 performance of Opening Night is in full swing, but you still have a chance to catch the second performance at 7:30 in the McClain High School auditorium. Admission is $5.00. Come out and show support for our talented students! 💜💛

Information from the 10-12-22 all-call:
Good evening. This is Quincey Gray, Superintendent of Greenfield Schools. I wanted to take time to share some important information that we have recently provided to parents and guardians. A safety update was sent via FinalForms with copies being sent home with students as well. Please be sure to review the information at your convenience. Also, a document highlighting important upcoming dates was sent via FinalForms and shared on social media. Those dates are October 20, when there will be a two hour early release; October 21, COTA Day, when there will be no school for students; and October 28, when there will be a teacher professional development day with no school for students. October 20 also marks the end of the first quarter, and information about scheduling conferences will be sent home soon. We would love to be able to communicate with all of you during a conference whether it be face-to-face, by phone, or by email. Finally, McClain High School’s Opening Night, presented by its choral department, will be held October 15 in the McClain High School auditorium. There will be two shows - 2:30 and 7:30. The admission cost is $5.00. We would love to have people attend to support our students. If you have any questions regarding this information, please contact the school office where your child attends. Have a good evening!

Our district is so proud to have this club at McClain High School. Please read the message below from Mrs. Lori Tuttle, DFCA adviser. If you are associated with a local business that would like to support the club, please contact her. Support for our students is much appreciated! 😊
Good afternoon. I am a teacher at McClain High School and I would like to reach out to businesses in the Greenfield (or surrounding) community.
I am the adviser for Drug Free Clubs of America which gives students the ability to say "No, I can't. I get tested" if they find themselves in high-pressure situations. These students have many incentives like free pizza, donuts, catered lunch, t-shirts, big giveaways, and community rewards.
Today, I'm looking for businesses that would like to participate in the community rewards program or team up with other businesses to provide new t-shirts. If you are interested in supporting this wonderful program, please contact me at lori.tuttle@greenfieldmcclain.org.
