Practice field project days #108-118 - Be sure to follow the updates on our social media accounts, website, and app! Work continues in preparation of the building delivery on September 29. Footers have been poured, and the underground plumbing will be completed soon followed by electrical work all in advance of the 29th. A lot of work has gone into prepping the parking area. A proof roll was conducted last week. What is a proof roll? 🤔 A proof roll is an assessment of the subgrade layer prior to installing overlying pavement layers. The subgrade proof roll is a visual assessment to determine if it will enable the construction of the subsequent pavement layers. It was interesting to see how much work (including planning and inspections) had to go into prepping since we know how long people have been parking in the area. 😂 We were REALLY excited for paving yesterday...and then it rained. 🌧️😔 The crew was able to fit our project back into their schedule and will be back on Saturday. Our contractor, Elford, has worked diligently to avoid late evening work. Recently, the sub-contractor that completed the prep work for the parking area was onsite late finishing up and removing their equipment. It is possible that because of the nature of the work, and not being able to start and stop, there may be late work on Saturday, September 16. Again, the goal is to avoid work being completed late in the day, but there may be a few days over the ten-month project when it has to occur. 💜💛📣MHS cheer clinic 💜💛📣 The high school cheerleaders are excited to host another football cheer clinic. They will be teaching several new cheers they learned at their cheer camp. Forms were sent home with all students before fair break. If you did not receive one, please check with your school office for another copy. September 1, 2023 4:15 p.m. all-call: Please see below for a few updates. 1. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during our implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System. Things have been going very smoothly. Please remember to bring your state I.D. or driver’s license with you to the school office the first time that you are signing your child out or visiting the building. Also, remember that if you have children in multiple buildings, you will need to repeat the process in each building. Again, thank you for your support. 2. The percentage of our students whose documentation is completed in FinalForms is now 93%! Please make sure that if you have not completed the forms, you do so as soon as possible. Make sure to keep your contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) current so that you don’t miss important information that is shared throughout the year. 3. Be sure to complete the free and reduced lunch form as soon as possible. Any form that was approved last school year is only good for this school year through September 30. This year, all students who qualify for a reduced-price lunch receive a free lunch! You can find the form on our website by clicking the dining tab. You will then see it on the left-hand side. Practice field project days #81-103 - Be sure to follow the updates on our social media accounts, website, and app! We have been BUSY with the start of school during a quiet time of transition to the second phase of the project. Things are soon to become REALLY busy though! 👏🏼 ➡️The first mowing of the sod will be occurring soon. You may have noticed a few brown patches in the sod. This is perfectly natural. The landscaping company will monitor the patches, and then if they don't "take", they will be replaced. The company also monitors the places where water is standing to see where additional dirt will need to be added. ➡️The first load of steel for the building foundation has been delivered. ➡️They have started digging footers. ➡️Underground plumbing for the building is scheduled to start this week. ➡️The completion of the McClain Avenue parking spaces is scheduled to occur this week.
