
Mrs. Shrout's students are learning to cite textual evidence by analyzing a crime scene photo, 911 transcript, timeline, and eyewitness accounts to figure out the specifics of a CSI report. Students are only allowed to use the strongest evidence to support their claims of what actually happened and if foul play was involved.

February 27, 2023 - 4:16PM update - The tornado warning has been lifted. The weather has cleared, and our buses are back on the road. Thank you to all for your cooperation!

Important update: Due to the tornado warning for Highland County, our buses are currently stopped in order to maintain safety for our drivers and students. Buses will begin traveling again once the weather is safe to do so. Also, students who attend BASC Care on our main campus are sheltered and safe.

Students working on their sewing in Ms. Lagorio's classroom. They have learned how to sew on buttons and are learning how to sew several different types of stitches.


On Friday, Ms Thieman's eighth period classes moved around the room to solve one-step equations.




To finish off a successful FFA Week, Miss Price's students participated in an FFA Official Dress contest. Students worked together in groups to make Official Dress out of assorted paper. This was a great opportunity for students to grow in teamwork and leadership. The middle school agriculture students enjoyed today's activity!





Mrs. Dyer and Mrs. Eikenberry's Algebra students worked collaboratively to complete a variety of stations covering polynomial operations and factoring. Students showed great communication and problem solving skills!





Mrs. Black and Mrs. Eikenberry's ELA students practiced creative thinking by developing comics that centered around a randomly selected theme card. Some students even took on a bonus challenge and randomly selected a character card too!





Students in Mrs. Black's reading and writing class reflected on an informational essay, "The Day I Saved a Life." Students conducted research about an injustice, "an injury, wrong, grievance, an act that inflicts undeserved hurt." Then, students presented their injustices to their peers.
Students created their own grading criteria and presented a one to two minute presentation to the class. Students practiced learning how to speak in front of a group, a broadly applicable professional skill. They learned how to prepare material and practice for a presentation.





The students in Mrs. Penwell’s writing classes have been working hard on an argumentative essay piece. Today, students peer edited and gave useful TAG feedback to use for revisions.




Students demonstrted tectonic plate boundaries in Mrs. Molloy's science classes.




Students demonstrated types of stress on rocks with fruit roll-ups in Mrs. Molloy's science classes.





Mrs. Shrout's students did a gallery walk today for writing algebraic expressions. They did a great job and even helped each other find their mistakes.




Students in Mrs. Harper and Mrs. Raike's language arts classes have been working collaboratively at stations to give each other feedback on their responses.

ALL NEW GEVSD 2023-2024 KINDERGARTEN APPLICANTS:
Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year will open online on Monday, April 3, 2023!! We are very excited to announce that the Greenfield Exempted Village School District has again partnered with Final Forms, which allows you to sign and complete all kindergarten enrollment forms for the 2023-2024 school year and upload ALL required documents to your student’s individual document folder. Directions on how to register will be made available on our district website and social media accounts on April 3. You can also contact the school office where your child will attend in order to be added to an email distribution list in order to receive the directions via email on April 3.
Please remember, your children must turn five years old prior to August 1, 2023, in order to be eligible for kindergarten registration.
As part of the registration process, Greenfield Exempted Village School District will hold in-person testing events at our three elementary locations. Your child’s participation at your school’s testing event is mandatory.
