Jesse will be holding learning sessions with students in grades 6-9 on November 1 and then holding a parent/guardian session on November 2 @ 7:00 p.m. in the MHS cafetorium. The November 2 session is open to anyone in our community or surrounding communities. Children ARE NOT allowed to attend the November 2 session. Our Family Fitness Night will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, October 4 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at our main campus. We are excited to partner with Adena Health to host this event for our families of students in grades preschool through fifth grade. Children will be able to participate in activities such as volleyball, basketball, football, swimming, yoga, soccer, and an obstacle course. Healthy snacks and informational tables will be available, and the brand new Adena Mobile Unit will be here for people to tour. Children who complete their activity punch card will be eligible for a drawing for prizes. Parents/guardians of children who complete their punch card will be eligible for a drawing for an all-season athletic pass good for this school year and a massage certificate. Finally, we will also have a drawing for a family prize basket donated by Greenfield Mother’s Club. We hope to see our elementary school families tomorrow evening at 6:00. Have a good evening!

Good evening. This is Quincey Gray, Superintendent of Greenfield Schools calling with important information regarding some changes to a few of our bus routes this week. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, but it is necessary to make these changes due to the drivers we have available. Fortunately, making these changes allows us to transport all students to school. Special thanks to our transportation department team for working today to make these arrangements. This information will also be shared on our Facebook pages and emailed to parents and guardians via FinalForms. These changes are for this week only, and may not be needed at the end of the week. Drivers will communicate if routes return to normal before the end of the week.
1. Bus 18 (the bus that Tosha will be driving instead of Bus 3) will be picking students up approximately 5-10 minutes early on the middle school/high school route.
2. Bus 17 (Dawn’s bus) will be picking students up approximately 5-10 minutes early on the middle school/high school route.
3. Bus 17 (Dawn’s bus) will be picking students up approximately 5 minutes early on the elementary route.
4. Middle school and high school students who live on Blazer Road and Black Lane will be picked up by Bus 9 (Angie’s bus) approximately 25 minutes later tomorrow, closer to 7:00 a.m.
5. Middle school and high school students who reside in New Petersburg on Petersburg Pike and Water Street will be picked up by Bus 19 (Susan’s bus) at approximately 7:00 a.m.
6. Middle school and high school students who reside on Petersburg Pike west of Worley Mill Road and Allen Road will be picked up close to the normal time by Bus 20 (Randalia’s bus).
7. Middle school and high school students who reside on Route 138 heading toward Hillsboro will be picked up by Bus 11 (Jackie’s bus) 5-10 minutes early.
8. All Rainsboro Elementary students who ride a bus need to be ready for pick-up 5-10 minutes early.
Again, we apologize for the inconvenience, but we are thankful for our team members working together in order to transport all students this week. If you have any questions, please contact the GEVSD bus garage tomorrow at 937-981-2620 during regular hours. Have a good evening!

The Snake Dance will begin and end Wednesday, September 20, at the field on S. Washington Street where the band and football teams have been practicing this year. The parade route is Washington, to Jefferson, to 6th, to South, and back to the field. Start time is 7:00 p.m.

The high school cheerleaders are excited to host another football cheer clinic. They will be teaching several new cheers they learned at their cheer camp.
Forms were sent home with all students before fair break. If you did not receive one, please check with your school office for another copy.

Please see below for a few updates.
1. Thank you for your cooperation and patience during our implementation of the Raptor Visitor Management System. Things have been going very smoothly. Please remember to bring your state I.D. or driver’s license with you to the school office the first time that you are signing your child out or visiting the building. Also, remember that if you have children in multiple buildings, you will need to repeat the process in each building. Again, thank you for your support.
2. The percentage of our students whose documentation is completed in FinalForms is now 93%! Please make sure that if you have not completed the forms, you do so as soon as possible. Make sure to keep your contact information (phone numbers and email addresses) current so that you don’t miss important information that is shared throughout the year.
3. Be sure to complete the free and reduced lunch form as soon as possible. Any form that was approved last school year is only good for this school year through September 30. This year, all students who qualify for a reduced-price lunch receive a free lunch! You can find the form on our website by clicking the dining tab. You will then see it on the left-hand side.
We will be closed next week due to the Highland County Fair. School will resume for students on Monday, September 11.
