January is School Board Recognition Month! We are excited to recognize and show appreciation for our Board members. The theme for this year is School Board Superheroes. Over the next two weeks, we will be highlighting our School Board Superheroes individually on our social media accounts and app. Each member will be answering questions about their dream superhero life. Today, we are highlighting Sandy Free. 😀 1. If you were a superhero, what would your name be? Super Mamaw, Super Mimi, or Super Yeehaw Meemaw 2. Which superpowers would you possess? I would protect my grandchildren and great-grandchildren from harm and give them the ability to show more love with lots of hugs. 🤗 3. What is your Kryptonite? Too much ice cream and Pepsi 😆 4. Describe your costume! Sweatshirt and jeans - Check out the picture! 🤣 5. Describe your secret lair! The Dairy Queen! 🍦 6. What would be your motto or catchphrase? "The more, the merrier!" 7. Describe your sidekick! Super Papaw, Super Pop, or Big Bop 8. How would you use your superpowers to make the world a better place? First up is Rachel Fraley. 1. If you were a superhero, what would your name be? The Animal Avenger 2. Which superpowers would you possess? I would have the ability to talk to animals, and also get them to come to me and allow me to tame them. 3. What is your Kryptonite? Cold weather 4. Describe your costume! I'd wear something like Jungle Jack Hanna, but PINK! 5. Describe your secret lair! A cozy den with lots of places to cuddle with all my animal friends - and extra space for animals who don't have a home to come live with me. I would have a team to help keep things clean and everyone fed! 6. What would be your motto or catchphrase? "For the love of animals big and small!" 7. Describe your sidekick! My Sphynx cat, Sam 8. How would you use your superpowers to make the world a better place? There would be no animal shelters or strays. All animals would have a place to live and be protected from harm. Due to the wind that is expected overnight and in the early morning, which is already causing deteriorating road conditions, the Greenfield Exempted Village School District will be on a two-hour delay Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Please remember that breakfast will not be served. Also, for those parents of children in grades 1-6 who are participating in the youth cheer clinic, forms were sent home with students yesterday. The completed form and payment can be returned to your child’s school office by tomorrow, or you can attend the in-person sign-up scheduled for tomorrow from 5:00 until 6:00 at Greenfield Elementary. The Greenfield Exempted Village School District will be closed on Friday, January 10, 2025. We would need a delay at the least due to the condition of roads and bus turn-around areas. With the snow forecasted to begin in the early afternoon, we do not want to risk the safety of our students, families, and staff.
